Harry joined Harrington Cooper in February 2007 and has been Managing Partner since 2011. He is responsible for the day-to-day management of the business and also heads-up global business development. Prior to joining the asset management industry, he served as an officer in the British Army for seven years. He has a diverse international background, having roots in both UK and in Japan.

Adrian Brown
Regulation and compliance
Adrian has a wealth of financial services experience having worked for a number of leading investment management firms before joining IMRO, which became part of the Financial Services Authority (FSA). Adrian advises Harrington Cooper and its groups on the changing regulatory landscape, including MiFID II.

Jonathan Francis, CFA
Leads manager & strategy selection
Jonathan is a senior manager research professional with 10+ years multi asset class selection and allocation experience. He started his career at institutional consultants Watson Wyatt (Willis Towers Watson) researching equity and hedge fund strategies before joining EFG Asset Management to help establish the firm’s manager research process.

Mikio Itabashi
Director of Japanese Business Development
Mikio has been in the financial industry for 30 years in Tokyo, Frankfurt, and London. Prior to joining Harrington Cooper in January 2021, he was a senior portfolio manager in structured credit at a Japanese asset management firm. Prior to that, he managed a proprietary credit investment portfolio at a Japanese mega bank.

Ferdinand Hooft Graafland

Jean-Baptiste Portelli
French-speaking Europe
Prior to joining Harrington Cooper, Jean-Baptiste worked at First State Investments where he held a similar role, looking after the French Clientele. He also worked in Sales departments at SKAGEN Funds in London and Franklin Templeton in Paris. He holds an MSc in Finance from Grenoble Graduate School of Business and speaks three languages.
