Yu Shimizu
Yu Shimizu has over 21 years of experience in portfolio management and financial analysis, and over 11 years of experience in managing his Japanese Sustainable Equity Investment Strategy, which has achieved both advanced sustainability integration and a strong track record of outperforming the broad Japanese equity market. His strategy has attracted a wide range of investors, including European public pension, UCITS, US corporate pension fund, US university endowment and domestic retail mutual fund. He graduated from Keio University with a B.A. in Law. Yu is a Certified Professional Coach, a Chartered Member of the Security Analysts Association of Japan and a managing member of Japan Sustainable Investment Forum.
Toshiyuki Matsushita
Toshi Matsushita has over 24 years of experience in Japanese listed equity investment management with a very strong research and performance track record. After graduating from Chuo University in 1998, he worked as a trader at Dai-ichi Kangyo Asahi Investment Trust Management (now Asset Management One), Nissay Asset Management, and SPARX Asset Management for 7 years. In 2006, he founded Blue Bear Investment Managers Co., Ltd. and became Vice President and Chief Investment Officer where he managed foreign-domiciled Japanese equity funds and domestic-domiciled investment partnerships. In 2010, he began working at KIMCO INTERNATIONAL PTE and was in charge of research and management of mainly small- and mid-cap and long/short Japanese equity funds. He was appointed as a member of the board of directors in June 2017. He is a published author a book titled “Fundamental Analysis Methodology and Practical Examples”. He is also a learning advisor for the Leadership Action Program at Business Breakthrough University.
